For and in consideration of the sum of Seven hundred & Sixty dollars to me in hand, paid by Matthew T. Harris, I John J. Dehart do hereby grant bargain and sell unto the said M. T. Harris and assigns the following described tract of land situated in the County of Attala and State of Mississippi towit the Northwest quarter of Section No. two (2) in Township No. twelve (12) of range No. five (5) And excepting therefrom ten acres there of situated in the N. E. corner thereof being a paraleleogram on a piece of land 220 yards Square and the appurtenances thereof reserved for the use of the citizens in that vicinityas per a deed thereof to that effect dated previously to the day and date hereof to have and to hold  the same to their only proper use and Behoof forever the title to which said land I hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators forever to warrant and defend unto the said Matthew T. Harris or assigns against the claims of myself and all other persons whomsoever witness my hand and seal this 4th day of November A.D. 1869                                                                     (signed) J. Know all men by these presents that I. R. Hoffman of the State and County aforesaid, for and in consideration of the T. A. DeHart, also of said State and County of Burleson having executed to me his promissory notes, each for the sum of One hundred and seventy dollars of even date herewith and made payable to Brenham, Texas and maturing respectively January 1st A.D. 1881, Jany 1st 1882, Jany 1st 1883 and January 1st 1884 with interest on the same from date until paid at the rate of two per cent per annum, the said notes retaining the Vendor's lien on the land herein conveyed – Have bargained, granted, sold and released and by these presents do bargain, grant, sell and release into the said T. A. DeHart the following described land viz:

A certain tract of land situated in Burleson County, Texas being a part of the tract sold to W. C. Rheinhart and his wife Belle Rheinhart by T. Lee Scott and Mary E. Scott wife of said T. L. Scott by deed dated October 15th 1874 and recorded in the land records of Burleson County Nov 20th 1874 pages 91 and 92 in Book (O) and a part of the James Hollingworth's one-quarter league on Mound Prairie and bounded and described as follows --

Beginning at the N Cor. Of the Mound tract out of said 1/4 league a stone for the West corner of this survey: thence N 45° E with the line between said 1/4 league and the Cummings league 1000 varas? to a stake from which a Pin Oak brs. N 61° E and an Ash brs. N 82° W 4 ½ vrs. Thence S 45° E 504 vrs. To a stake from which a Hickory marked R brs. S 12° E 3 2/4 vrs. Thence S 45° W 1000 vrs. To a stake in Prairie for corner. Thence N 45° W 564 vrs. To the place of beginning containing 100 acres of land more or less.

Together with all and singular the rights, heredibaments [sic], members and appertuarances [sic] to the same belonging or in any wide incident or appertaining [sic] to have and to hold, all and singular the premises above mentioned unto the said T.A. DeHart, his heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself, heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defraud all and singular the said premises unto the said T. A. DeHart, his heirs and assigns against every person whomever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof --- In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my had this January 13th 1880.

Know all men by these presents that I, B. D. DeHart, for and in said County and State aforesaid consideration of Eighty Two 75/100 Dollars to me in hand paid by J. J. DeHart and for same the receipt County and State aforesaid which is hereby acknowledged do hereby sell transfer and quit claim to J. J. DeHart all my right title and interest in the Estate of the said J. J. DeHart.

Know all men by these presents that I Robert DeHart of the said County and State aforesaid that for and in consideration of Sixty 75/100 Dollars to me in hand paid by J. J. DeHart of said County and State aforesaid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do hereby and sell transfer and quit Claim to J. J. DeHart all my right title and interest in the Estate of the said J. J. DeHart.

Know all men by these presents, that Ms. Victoria Hairston and her husband M. B. Hairston of the County of Brazos State of Texas for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred and Eighty Dollars to us in hand paid by J. J. DeHart and for the further consideration of the execution and delivery to us by the said DeHart of his promissory note for the sum of two hundred and Eighty dollars gold due and payable on the 7th day of January A.D. 1872 and Secured by a lien on the hereinafter described land have this day granted sold transfered and conveyed and by these presents do sell and convey unto the Said J. J. DeHart the following described tract of land to wit:

Situated in the County of Burleson State aforesaid, being a part of the quarter of League granted to James Hollingsworth. Beginning at the West corner of a tract of land Sold and conveyed by said Hollingsworth to Natt Shields. Thence N. 45 W. 625 vs. Intersecting the line of a league of land granted to Cummings, thence with said Cummings lives, N. 45 E 1445 vs. To J. P. Coles line, Thence S. 45 E. 625 vs. To Shields Corner, thence S. 45 W. with Shields live to place of beginning. Containing one hundred and Sixty acres of land more or less, together with all the appertinances thereunto belonging, convenanting and obligating ourselves to forever warrant and defend the title to said unto the DeHart his heirs or assigns against all persons legally claiming the Sam.

Witness our hands and Scrolls for Seals this the 6th day of Jan. 1871.

Know all men by these presents that I T. A. DeHart now resident of McLennan County, Texas for in consideration of the sum of Twelve Hundred Dollars the receipt of Five Hundred & Fifty in hand paid me of which is hereby acknowledged the balance of Two promissory notes of even date this day executed by W. Q. Cravey for $225.00 each 1st due in Jan 1st 1885 and the 2nd due in Jan 1st 1886 with interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum the interest to be paid annually from date, hour granted bargained and sold and conveyed and do by these presents bargain sell and convey unto the said W. Q. Cravey his heirs and assigns the following described tract of parcel of Land situated in Burleson County, Texas containing Eighty acres mor or less said tract on parcel of Land being a part of the one fourth League granted to Jas. Hollingsworth by the Mexican Government and bounded as follows:

Beginning at J.J. DeHart's South Corner of his one Hundred and sixty acre tract being also the West corner of a tract of land sold by Jas. Hollingsworth to Nat Shields. Thence N. 45 W. 625 varas to a corner with pointers as its intersection with the Cummings League line. Thence N. 45 E with said line 715 varas to inch with two pointers for the North corner of this survey being also J. J. DeHart's West corner of his home tract. Thence S 45 E along said division line 625 varus to a stake with pointers at its intersection with J. J. DeHart's S.E. boundary line being the East corner of this survey. Thence S. 45 W along said line 715 varus to beginning corner.

To have and to Hold the above described tract on parcel of Land together with all the improvements appurturances hereditaments thereto appertaining or in anywise belonging to the same unto him the said W. Q. Cravey, and his heirs or assigns forever and I hereby bind myself my heirs executors and administrators to forever warrent and defend the title to the said tract on parcel of Land and the improvements thereon unto his heirs and assigns against all persons whomsoever claiming or to claim the same on any part thereof and it is agreed and stipulated that there shall be a vendor's lien retained on the above described tract of land and improvements until all notes and interest is fully paid.

Know all men by these presents, that we T.A. DeHart and wife Amanda DeHart of the County of Burleson and State afresaid, for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand Dollars, to us to be paid by Josef Slovacek as follows to-wit: Three hundred dollars of said amount to us cash in hand paid at the delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, eight hundred dollars of the same to be paid October 10th 1883, and the remaining nine hundred dollars to be paid December 1st 1883, for which two several amts. Said Josef Sclovocek has executed and delivered his two promisory notes and a lien is hereby retained on the lands hereby conveyed to secure payment of same, have Granted, Sold and Conveyed, and by these presents do Grant, sell and Convey unto the said Josef Sclovacek of the County of Fayette of the aforesaid State … (no more written --- evidently Mr. Slovacek defaulted on his loan for the land in Burleson County in 1883, and T.A. DeHart sold their land in 1884 to Mr. W. Q. Cravey)
